Fans of WWE 2K19 will be happy to know that the online servers for the game will remain up for the time being. They wont be shut down until at least late 2021. 2K Games made an announcement on this topic via the official WWE 2K Facebook page. This means the games servers will be up until the launch of WWE 2K22.

The highly requested online lobby system is back in WWE 2K20. Lobbies will streamline the process of pairing up players and getting them into a match as quickly as possible. Were also excited to talk about new developments in MyPLAYER, Road to Glory, and MyPLAYER Towers.
As of July 20 at 1 AM PST, the Road to Glory and MyPLAYER Towers modes in WWE 2K19 will no longer be supported. Servers will remain online in support of matchmaking and Community Creations until further notice.

Should I buy 2K19 in 2020?
Its cheaper and youll get a better first time experience with it. Look for 2k20 either on sale or after they have fixed the bugs that everyone else is experiencing. 2K20 is significantly better then 2K19 but as you can see, there are a ton of bugs right now. 2K19 is obviously more polished but I like 2K20 personally.
