Question: Do national park campgrounds have full hookups?

Full hookups are limited in the national park system, but this doesnt mean you cant camp and enjoy the benefits of being close to nature. Be prepared to dry camp, and take the family on a few practice runs beforehand.

Can you live full time on a campground?

Answer: Yes, as long as you understand what you are doing and make sure to camp in safe, protected areas. You need to check out RV parks and campgrounds, not mobile home parks. The first two generally will allow full-time, year-round parking if they do not resort or government parks.

Can I sleep in my car at Yellowstone?

Can I sleep in my car in Yellowstone? No, but paid campsites will allow you to sleep in your car if you insist. Yellowstone does not allow overnight parking in attraction parking lots, trailheads, or on the roadside. Only visitors who have reserved rooms one of the many lodging options can park their cars overnight.
