Tinder is easily combustible material used to start a fire. Tinder is a finely divided, open material which will begin to glow under a shower of sparks. The flaming tinder is used to ignite kindling, which in turn is used to ignite the bulk material, to produce a fire.

Why is Tinders logo a flame?

In 2017 they changed it to a more minimalistic style, got rid of the text and started to use only the flame icon as their official logo. The logo resembles a flame or a red heart also, which is referring to love, attraction, hotness of using Tinder.
