Many western women living in Bangkok complain its not easy to make friends. Western men are usually here for the Thai women, other western women are difficult to find, and most Thais only speak a smattering of English. So, if you dont speak Thai, youre out of luck.

Is it easy to make friends in Bangkok?

Bangkok is just too big with too many expatriates who do need each other. You wont make friends here more easily than you will in New York, Paris or other capital city. Probably more difficult actually.
