When was my bear bow made?
If the ALL wood bow has a stamp that reads Bear Products in some form it would have been made before the early to mid 40s. If it is stamped Bear Archery it would have been made AFTER the early-mid 40s and BEFORE 1949.
Do bows have serial numbers?
The serial number on all Mission vertical bows can be found on the back shelf of the bow above the grip. It is engraved into the riser of the bow.

Is a compound bow considered a firearm?
Of course, a compound bow is a weapon. However, the compound bow isnt a firearm because it does not rely on expanding gases to propel a projectile. It fires an arrow by flinging it through the air toward a target. Therefore, according to the ATF it doesnt qualify as a firearm.
