Question: What should you not tell someone with social anxiety?

Should I disclose social anxiety?

Any individual with a psychiatric disability is protected by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Anxiety disorders, and SAD in particular fall under this designation. Under the ADA, you are not required to disclose your psychiatric disability unless you wish to request accommodations in the workplace.

Does social anxiety ever go away?

It can be very distressing and have a big impact on your life. For some people it gets better as they get older. But for many people it does not go away on its own without treatment. Its important to get help if you are having symptoms.
